Focus Reader ("the App") is developed by Tupungato Studios. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.
We do not collect any personal data. The text you convert, the documents and articles you open, and your preferences all stay on your device. Focus Reader does not operate servers that collect your data, use analytics tools, or include any tracking. We never see what you read.
Focus Reader converts text into focus-reading format entirely on your device. Anything you paste, type, or import (PDF, RTF, and text files), and any article you open by link, is processed locally and never leaves your device or is sent to any server. Your reading preferences (such as intensity, font, and appearance) are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage. Uninstalling the App removes them.
Focus Reader includes an optional Safari extension that restyles the web page you are reading in place, directly in the browser on your device. The extension needs permission to read the current page in order to apply the focus-reading styling to its text, but it does this entirely on-device. It does not collect, store, or transmit the pages you visit or their content to us or anyone else.
Focus Reader offers an optional Pro upgrade as a subscription (weekly or yearly) and as a one-time lifetime purchase. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Your purchase and subscription status is verified on your device using Apple's StoreKit — Focus Reader does not run its own server, and no personal information, payment details, or identifying data is shared with us.
We do not use any first-party analytics or crash reporting services. If you have enabled "Share with App Developers" in your iOS settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements), Apple provides anonymous, aggregated statistics about app performance and stability (for example: launch time, crash reports, battery usage) in its own dashboards. This data is aggregated by Apple across all users and cannot be linked back to you. You can disable this setting at any time.
The App does not collect any data from any user, including children. It is safe for users of all ages (rated 4+).
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
